Unusual set of vintage mid century modern birds-maybe representing doves-with braided or twisted tail feathers. Made of a heavier ceramic or pottery like material, the birds are glazed a glossy soft pink, have black bases, and measure 6" tall, 7" long, and 2.25" wide, have felt on the bottom of the bases and the tails, and are unmarked as to a maker. The can of Coke is for a sizing reference. They are in very nice condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or the like. I have had these for a number of years and have not seen another pair like them. I can't remember the details about them when I bought them but for whatever reason, Italy sticks in my mind. If anyone has any information on the birds, please let me know. Beautiful set but I am downsizing a bit and letting them go. Maybe you can add to your collection!
