Vintage painting of a partially nude woman by Karl Larson-a metro Detroit based artist in Michigan. The painting features a woman with short dark hair sitting with one breast exposed beside a rich green tinged lake with the green shoreline and trees in the background. The painting was done on a canvas board and framed in a distressed primitive wood frame. I think it is acrylic paint but maybe oil. I think I remember being told the frame was made in Mexico. The painting itself measures 16" x 18" and the frame measures 22" x 24". I put a can of Coke in one of the photos to give you an idea as to the size. The painting is old-I am estimating mid-century-1950's-1960's. I know the artist lived to be 104 years old and he died a number of years ago-at least 30 years-and he painted right up until his death. In good vintage condition with no serious issues to note. I have had this painting for 20 some years but have decided to let it go as I no longer display it. Hopefully it will hang in your home!
