I am selling an early Stainsby-Wayne Braille Writer dating from around 1931.

The braille writer is mounted on its original folding wooden writing board and comes with its original carrying case, instruction booklet and a collection of National Institute for the Blind teaching material.

Included are the original Directions for Operating the Stainsby-Wayne Braille Writer, a 1931 copy of The Braille System for Reading and Writing (Grade II), two Braille Primer booklets, a quantity of original braille writing paper, typed lesson sheets addressed to Miss K. M. Noakes and the original postal wrapper addressed to Monte Carlo.

It offers a fascinating insight into the teaching of braille during the early twentieth century.

Condition:
It is in good original condition with age-related wear from use and storage. The paperwork has the expected signs of age.
