A rare and original 1975 charming mid-century novelty and collector's piece from Lucas Bols. A Dutch company established in Amsterdam in 1575. This iconic bell-shaped glass bottle was produced as a 400 year Anniversary keepsake, and is today collected purely as a decorative music box and vintage curiosity.

The Figurine Inside the clear glass bell stands a miniature ballerina in a crimson tutu, posed on her white pedestal — visible in full detail through the glass.

The Music Box The clockwork mechanism is set into the base, embossed BOLS BALLERINA BOTTLE. The original paper label identifies the melody: Le Bleu Danube — the beloved waltz by Johann Strauss II.

The mechanism is embossed Bols Ballerina and retains its original paper label naming the tune.
