This is a rare beautiful example of Vintage Burnham No 50 Fountain Pen with a Extra Fine Flexible Gold nib.
***
The pen is in excellent condition. The resin doesn't show any discoloration, deep black and shiny. Metal trim is in gorgeous condition too, free of any brassing. The imprint is crisp and clear. There are few superficial scratches in keeping with nearly hundred years of age of the pen but no deep scratch or crack. The cap threads in nice and secured. It posts securely.

The 14k gold EF nib is an excellent writer. It writes smoothly with a pencil like feedback. (Obviously smoothness/feedback is subjective and depends on the ink and paper used as well).
NIB CHARACTERISTICS:
Please remember the following criteria of flex nibs are very subjective but in my hand the nib feels like this:
The feeder is made of ebonite. It keeps up with the ink flow very well.
***
Filling system: Leverlfiller. Works perfectly.

Measurements:
Capped: 127 mm Uncapped: 114 mm Posted: 153 mm Barrel diameter: 12.1 mm

The pen has been thoroughly serviced, cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner and is in perfect working condition.
The nib has been closely inspected and tuned to ensure a pleasant writing experience.
***
UNLIKE MOST OF THE VINTAGE PENS SOLD ONLINE, EVERY SINGLE PEN OF MINE HAS THE NIB INDIVIDUALLY CHECKED, TUNED AND WRITES VERY NICELY.

PLEASE SEE THE WRITING SAMPLE VIDEO AND ALL THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY AS THESE ARE PARTS OF THE DESCRIPTION AND GIVES YOU A BETTER IDEA ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE PEN BECAUSE SOMETIMES ALL THE DETAILS ARE NOT POSSIBLE TO COVER IN THE DESCRIPTION.

Please Note:
I am a medical doctor by profession with a full-time day job. I do this purely out of passion for fountain pens, specially vintage flex pens. I can safely say that I understand flex nibs and have owned a lot of them over the years.
If you have been looking for a vintage pen with a flex nib, please follow me on ebay. I post pens for sale every month once those are serviced and the nibs have been tuned.

Please be aware that writing with flexible nib takes a bit of practice and refined hand pressure control to get the best result. Don't get frustrated if you don't get the desired result in your early attempts. Be careful while applying pressure, if you push the nib too much beyond it's capability you may sprain the nib to an unrepairable condition.
Happy writing!
