For auction is an antique cat iron and glass directional arrow for a lightning rod. It was removed from a house in central Pennsylvania and, while it is complete and structurally sound, it is heavily rusted from being exposed to the weather for the better part of one hundred years. I wire brushed it and put a coat of lemon oil on it but have not attempted any other restoration. It is 18 1/4" long and the hole for the lightning rod is 1" in diameter. The ruby glass on the tail is undamaged and displays a sun burst with eight arms.
