A gorgeous ,vintage ,Hornsea Pottery ,Flour Storage Jar in the iconic Saffron design . I collect Hornsea but this is now surplus to requirements. I’m listing a few things that were duplicates having re-organised my display.
It’s in fantastic condition. No chips, cracks or crazing . The original wooden lid has a rubber seal that is fairly airtight but would benefit from replacement if this is going to be used for storage rather than display.
This has the earlier imprint on the base so I’m pretty sure it’s from prior to 1976 after which the printed logo was more common.
Iconic design , still looks modern whilst being very retro . Can’t believe this has probably had its 50th birthday !
