Overview
An incredible, unbroken production archive from the 1996 cult sci-fi comedy Space Truckers, directed by Stuart Gordon and starring Dennis Hopper. This unique lot belonged directly to the film's Assistant Art Director, Roger Bowles, offering a verified, single-source provenance that is highly prized by film historians and memorabilia collectors. I First met Roger when he brought a number of items in for sale evaluation at the auction house I worked at and found his story fascinating. I decided that I would try to purchase some of his lots and was lucky enough to buy these. (Provenance- Henry Aldridge & Son - Sale 29th June 2024 - Lots 284 & 291)
What is Included in This Archive:
- 1. Original Art Department Crew Flight Jacket (Size: Large[fits UK X-Large])
- Style: Authentic 1995 heavy-duty CWU-45P / MA-2 style satin bomber jacket in black. Features a fold-down collar, angled front flap pockets, rib-knit cuffs/waistband, and a sleeve utility pocket.
- Details: Features exquisite embroidered Pachyderm Logo to the back and original embroidered artwork on the left breast displaying the retro Space Truckers rocket logo with the text "Film Crew '95 / Art Dept,"
- Condition: Excellent vintage condition with crisp embroidery and smooth zippers.
- 2. Hand-Annotated Sixth Draft Production Script (Dated: May 30, 1995)
- Details: Screenplay by Ted Mann; Story by Stuart Gordon & Ted Mann. Issued under Stuart Gordon’s official production banner, Pachyderm Productions.
- Provenance: This is a trackable, numbered industry insider rainbow script (Copy #23). It features the handwritten name of Assistant Art Director "Roger Bowles" on the top right of the cover page, last page is missing. Used extensively during pre-production for set and prop design.
- 3. Eighth Draft Shooting Script (Dated: September 3rd, 1995)
- Details: A later revision script printed deep during principal photography at Ardmore Studios. Essential for comparing final set adjustments and on-set scene changes against the earlier May draft.
- 4. Original Vintage Promotional T-Shirt (Size: Medium)
- Details: Features the vibrant, full-color stylized Space Truckers star and cursive logo.
- Authenticity: Retains its original period-correct "Teximp - Super" tag ("Styled in U.S.A."), a classic UK/European blank supplier of the 1990s.
