These dull purple brown knits were installed on late 1940's through 1950's G-1 flight jackets. The color and cuff design are unique to these contracts. We were able to replicate these knits by working closely with our knitting mill using original contract jackets from this era, to get the color and style correct. These are custom made for us and not available through any other seller.

Note: The original NOS (New Old Stock) waistbands and cuffs available from other sellers on eBay are over 70 years old. Wool material this old can deteriorate and become weak. These weak areas can be invisible to the eye but when installed, can form holes in the material as the jacket is worn. Our knits are custom made and are new. Because of this, they are not affected by these deterioration problems and can be installed with confidence for a long service life.
