A genuine factory workshop manual issued by BMC Service Ltd, supplied loose-leaf in the original red four-ring binder as used in dealer and independent workshops of the period. This is an original printing, not a Brooklands or Haynes reprint.

This is a properly maintained working manual rather than a shelf copy. The base sheets are the original mid-1960s printing, and factory amendment sheets have been filed in over the following years, taking the coverage up to the Mk II and the 998cc automatic. Several sections therefore carry both the original and the later revised sheets, which have been kept together rather than discarded. If your car is to earlier specification the superseded pages are genuinely useful, and section N retains a full set of the earlier wiring diagrams alongside the revised ones.

I have checked this copy page by page. Every tabbed section is present and in the correct order, and there are no gaps in the page runs. That matters with loose-leaf manuals, as copies are very often broken up, incomplete, or missing the wiring diagrams altogether.

Coverage includes general data for the Mini, Mini-Cooper, Mini-Cooper 'S', Mini Mk II and Mini Automatic in both 848cc and 998cc forms, followed by full workshop sections for engine, ignition, cooling, fuel system, clutch, transmission in synchromesh and automatic form, drive shafts, front and rear suspension, steering, hydraulic dampers, brakes, electrical, body, service tools and recommended lubricants. Throughout there are exploded views, sectional drawings, torque figures and full wiring diagrams with keys and cable colour codes, including the Standard Saloon, Van and Pick-up Mk II.
