Pertronix Flame-Thrower ignition modules for GM and Ford distributors are direct replacements for the OEM modules and provide enhanced high-rpm performance. Flame-Thrower modules are available for most GM car and truck applications using both remote and in-cap coils in 4-pin, 7-pin, and 8-pin configurations. A Ford Thick Film Ignition (TFI-IV) module is also available (distributor mount only). Thick film technology on alumina ceramic substrates removes heat for greater accuracy and improved reliability, while laser trimming gives precise peak current control for increased energy output. Each module is tested twice with automated equipment to ensure trouble-free operation.
