Spin on filter conversion kit to fit Land Rover 2.25 petrol and diesel engines. This is a reclaimed housing from a dismantled 2.5TD engine. Work done:
- Stripped, cleaned and inspected
- Body vapour blasted
- Bolt holes drilled 7/16" to fit older Series engines
- Oil cooler thermostat removed
- Oil cooler ports fitted with new blanking plugs and sealing washers
- Oil thermostat cover O-ring replaced
- New Mahle oil filter
- New oil pressure switch
- New housing to block gasket
This is a direct bolt on swap for the old canister type housing used on all Series II/IIA /III four cylinder petrol and diesel engines, using the original bolts. It will also fit the later 2.25 / 2.5 petrol and non-turbo diesel engines fitted to Land Rover 90 / 110 1983 onwards. It takes the standard Land Rover spin-on filter (ERR3340) the only modification which might be needed is to extend the wire for the oil pressure switch as the Series housing has the switch in a different place.
Please note I have several of these, photos show a typical example. All have minor surface corrosion and marks but are in good sound condition fit for further use.
