This is a LARGE antique English sterling silver and faux tortoise shell top powder vanity jar. 

Fully hallmarked , please see pic 2.

Measures approximately 5.5 inches in height including lid and approx. 5.75 inches at the mid-section.  Nice design in the crystal. 

Top fits securely.  Some minor surface scratches on the inside of the top of the lid.

No chips, or cracks that I see or feel in the crystal. Has not been recently polished.

Very nice condition for its age.
