This is a vintage undivided back postcard, unposted and featuring a view of the State Capitol and grounds in Montgomery, Alabama. This was the first Capitol of the Confederacy and where Jefferson Davis took the oath of office as President of the Confederacy in 1861. Built in 1850, the South Wing was added in 1907 and the North Wing in 1911.
