This is a vintage divided back postcard, postally used and postmarked 1909 from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The historic structure shown in this vintage postcard is the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand, which was originally constructed out of brick, steel, and concrete in 1909 to replace an aging 1885 wooden grandstand. In the early 20th century, the venue primarily hosted massive horse racing events and historical political speeches by U.S. Presidents. Over the decades, these transitioned into auto and stock car racing. Auto racing was completely phased out in 2002.
Postcard may have normal wear associated with old postcards such as creases and bent corners. See pics for details and conditions.
