Oasis Union Jack Swirl poster signed by Tony French

An original Oasis Union Jack Swirl poster which has been signed twice by the designer Tony French in black felt-tipped pen and gold ink. Tony has also added the inscription "Live Forever" before one of the autographs. The Swirl logo was designed in June 1993, when Noel Gallagher commissioned French to design a logo for the band's first professional demo cassette tape, Live Demonstration. Upon seeing it, Noel Gallagher jokingly remarked that it looked like the British flag washing down a plughole (sink drain) and humorously requested that French draw a drain plug into the graphic. The poster comes with a handwritten note from Tony French which says: "Noel wanted this to be the flag going down the sink with a plug hole. Thank God I didn't listen to him." The note also features his autograph afterwards. The poster measures 50.7 x 33.7 cm. The condition of the poster is excellent.
