Spain Shewing the Seat of War.  Folding map of Spain in small hardcover booklet.  Printed and published by William Darton & Sons.  Booklet is 4 x 6 1/2."  Covers are in good condition with some light wear at edges and light soiling with some light rubbing of the wording.  Publishers page on inside of front cover is torn at upper left so bookseller name is missing as is first letters of map publisher.  Map folds out to 16 x 12 1/2 and is undated but would date to around 1810 or so when English forces were involved in fighting the French Napoleonic armies in Spain and Portugal.  Map has lots of old soiling and staining on the back of the fine linen type paper.  The stains do not show through on the map.  Basically 16 panels of map with four folds.  Map is in good condition with some light tears and separation at the folds.  William Darton was a mapmaker and printer in London in the early 1800s up to the 1850s.  Shipping weight less than 1 pound.
