This is a premium external Blu-ray writer/reader, not a standalone Blu-ray player. It is intended for use with a compatible computer and appropriate playback or burning software.

Condition

Pre-owned and tested. Fully recognized by macOS with Firmware Version 1.01 (shown in photos). Successfully tested reading audio CDs and Blu-ray discs. The lid has minor cosmetic wear from normal use that does not affect performance.

Important Software Information

This drive does not include Blu-ray playback software. Most computers, including macOS, do not natively play Blu-ray movies.

To play Blu-ray movies you will need compatible third-party software such as:

* CyberLink PowerDVD (Windows)

* Other compatible Blu-ray playback software

The drive functions as an optical drive, but movie playback depends on your computer, operating system, software, and disc compatibility.
