Original June 18, 1906 business LETTERHEAD from The Pittsburgh Shovel Company, manufacturers of shovels, spades, scoops, and stamped steel specialties. Measures approximately 8.25 x 11 inches.
This attractive illustrated letterhead features the company's ornate shovel logo and identifies the main office in the Frick Building, Pittsburgh, with the letter written from Leechburg, Pennsylvania. It is addressed to Harris & Co., Salem, Ohio, regarding delayed delivery of labels for Order No. 771-A. The company notes they have already wired the customer, emphasizing that the order has been held for more than three weeks and that they are completely out of the needed labels, making the delay unacceptable.
The letter is signed on behalf of the company by W. L. Walker, Secretary & General Manager. The letterhead also names company officers including W. S. Horner (President), W. E. Lloyd (Vice President), L. V. Walsh (Treasurer), and W. L. Walker (Secretary & General Manager). A purple forwarding stamp is also present.
