Antique Matrix Case For Use In A Monotype Composition Caster

The case is full of matrices for letters, figures and punctuation for one typeface design and one size. Operation of the monotype keyboard resulted in holes being punched in a paper ribbon that was taken to the caster when complete.

It measures 19cm by 9cm. The label on the box indicates it is 12pt Bembo typeface.

Comes in the original wooden box which has the label on the front.

Some marks and wear but in good overall condition. The box has some wear and damage but is an interesting addition. The box could benefit from from some repair.
