PRODUCT OVERVIEW

This set includes 2 control cables designed as a direct replacement for GEN II (CC189 Series) outboard engine control systems. Each set contains one throttle cable and one shift cable, which are paired components for the outboard engine control system.

COMPATIBILITY

Designed to fit GEN II control systems compatible with the 4000-Series controller (2003 to present). Compatible with the following engine brands and types:

- Mercury Outboard (2003-Present) with 4000 or 4500 Series GEN II Controls

- Mercury 2-Stroke and 4-Stroke Outboard with GEN II Remote Controls

- Mercury EFI, OptiMax, and Verado Outboard with GEN II Controls

- MerCruiser Stern Drive with 4000 Series GEN II Controls

- Mariner Outboard with Mercury GEN II Controls (2003-Present)

- Force Outboard (1993-Present)

- Quicksilver with GEN II Controls

NOTE: These cables are NOT compatible with 600A Series GEN I control systems. For GEN I systems, the CC179xx series cables are required.

INSTALLATION NOTES

Correct cable length selection is essential for proper installation. To determine the correct length, measure from the control end along the full unobstructed routing path to the outboard center. Add an extra 4 feet to allow for a loop and to enable unrestricted movement. It is recommended to refer to the engine manual or consult a professional marine technician for installation.
