This small map shows Tinian Island and the World War 2 military base which played a crucial role at the end of war. On the North Field of the base on Tinian Island was where the B-29 Superfortress Enola Gay and B-29 Superfortress Bockscar took off on their missions to drop the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There is a legend in the title block of this map in the top left corner.

This is an original atlas map which was taken from a 1950s book.
