- Material Detail: Heavy decorative hardstone compound with a hollowed
interior and an unpolished inside finish.
- Gilt Condition: Features detailed archaic floral scrollwork. Note
that there is a small area where the thin gilt foil layer has become
detached/lifted from the stone base.
- Structural Note: The protruding geometric ornament on the front of
the helmet has a small broken section on its left corner,
as clearly shown in the close-up photographs. broken part not included.
- Patina: Artificial buried-earth and verdigris archaic finish applied
to give it a striking ancient tomb artifact appearance.
