You are buying an old French TAP 47/56 lizard camouflage parachute jacket. Famous for being used by both french metropolitan paratroopers and légion étrangère mainly in two conflicts in the overseas colonies, Indochina and later it would be used in Algeria War. From the period of the late 1950s until the mid 1960s.

The coat is in brand new unused condition, dead-stock. The colors are full vivid and bright. Herringbone twill in 100% cotton fabric. Zippers are ELLESS brand. All buttons present and most of origin. It has rank insignia (corporal first class?) on his shoulder blades. The label says size 22. Fits like a US large (European X-large) size. The dimensions are as follows:

  • chest (pit to pit) - approx. 70 cm (27.55" in.)
  • shoulder - approx. 52 cm (20.47" in.)
  • arm (pit to cuff) - approx. 46 cm (18.11" in.)
  • back (collar to hem) - approx. 76 cm (29.92" in.)
