Original packaging was lost in shipping.

Listed as 2” thick because of some surface dings or blemishes but block is actually 2-1/4” thick.

I believe this is some form of Polyphenylene plastic, I’m not sure what the exact make up is, due to loss of packaging. The thickness and color are the only characteristics that are out of the ordinary for PPO.

Identification was done with flame and characteristic testing.

-Exhibits an unsustainable orange flame, with black smoke, a strong phenol/plastic smell, it won’t drip when ignited and flame is only sustained with a propellant fire source.

-Cuts with a bandsaw and machines well.

-Difficult to cut with a utility knife

-Extremely rigid, hard, not prone to scratch or dent.

-Smooth semi gloss surface finish.

-Dark gray in color.

I have kept this around my shop for years because it could be used for a wide variety of things. I planed to use it for knife components or entire knives, without any metal, detectable, components.

Actual dimensions are 12” x 12” x 2-1/4”.
