The G&L L-2000 Premium Made in Japan is the Japanese-made Premium series of the "L-2000," a representative electric bass model of G&L, the brand founded by Leo Fender. This popular model combines the high functionality inherited from the USA model with the meticulous craftsmanship unique to Japanese-made instruments, and is highly regarded in the used market.

Its greatest feature is the overwhelming sound variation provided by the two G&L MFD (Magnetic Field Design) humbucking pickups and the Tri-Tone control system. With series/parallel switching, active/passive switching, and a 3-band EQ, it can handle a wide range of tones, from thick and powerful rock sounds to delicate and clear jazz tones.

Furthermore, the adoption of a Leo Fender-designed Saddle-Lock bridge efficiently transmits string vibrations to the body, achieving excellent sustain and rich resonance. Its responsiveness, which accurately reflects the player's nuances, is also a major attraction.
