The UNI-T UT116A tweezer-style SMD component tester is a professional precision measuring tool tailor-made for surface-mount electronic components on PCB circuit boards. Equipped with a 180-degree rotatable tweezer probe, it perfectly adapts to narrow gaps on circuit boards, solving the difficulty of measuring tiny chip resistors, capacitors, diodes and LED lamps with ordinary multimeters. Widely applied in circuit maintenance, electronic DIY production, school laboratory teaching, industrial incoming parts inspection and small electrical module troubleshooting.

1. Automatic Identification Mode （UT116ASEries Exclusive）

Turn the rotary knob to auto scan gear, the tester will intelligently identify resistance, capacitance or diode components automatically, and display accurate readings on the LCD screen. Fully discharge PCB components before testing to avoid device damage.

2. Resistance Measurement

Switch to resistance gear, press SELECT button to switch measuring ranges; buzzer will sound when measured resistance is under 30Ω for continuity check.

3. Capacitance Measurement

Select capacitance mode via SELECT key, the tester adapts wide-range capacitance measurement automatically.

4. Diode & LED Test

Diode mode outputs 3.0V open-circuit voltage for PN junction testing; dedicated LED mode supplies 21V voltage to light up small LED beads for quick quality inspection.

5. DC Voltage Measurement

Directly measure DC voltage within 0~36V; this tester is NOT designed for high-voltage industrial voltage testing.

 

 

1. Battery Replacement: The device runs on two 1.5V AAA batteries; open the rear battery cover for regular replacement when low battery reminder appears.

2. Daily Cleaning: Wipe the tweezer probe and body with dry soft cloth; do not use alcohol or corrosive detergent to prevent shell damage.

3. Safety Warning: Fully discharge high-resistance & high-capacity components before testing to avoid surge current burning the tester probe. Reverse voltage connection is forbidden during battery voltage measurement.
