Original vintage double-sided painted wooden “TRAM STOP BY REQUEST” sign.

A genuine period tramway stop sign with one face marked “THIS SIDE” and the reverse “OTHER SIDE”, intended for mounting on a tram stop post so passengers approaching from either direction knew where to wait.

Condition

Good original unrestored condition. The sign shows authentic outdoor wear including paint crazing, scratches, edge wear, losses to the paint finish, rust staining around the metal mounting plates and general age-related marks.
