This item is a vintage Shakespeare Rod SKP8056-2 8-foot fly fishing rod - Rod only / no reel.

This was my dad's who was a fly-fishing enthusiast. He got this later in life and didn't use it very much. 

 

It appears to be in really good shape. There are 3 pieces which seem to attach / detach normally. It has foam grips and it used with #5/6 fly line. Light-weight.

Over the past couple of years, I have been tasked with going through my parent's and grandparent's possessions - two separate households with items spanning their whole lives. This has been a long, arduous process and will take many years to complete.

I will be listing a variety of items - some of which I know the story behind and others I simply haven’t a clue!  With each and every item, I try to supply as much detail as I can whether it is from my recollection / memories, internet research, or by matching it up with other pieces I have found. Each item tells a story for which I am grateful to now be able to document as a way of keeping some of the history of my family which is now gone. I wish I could keep a lot of it but I haven't the room.
