Mainspring Watches UK
Incorporated on Christmas Eve 2021 by us, Tristan and Jay, Mainspring has grown from a £5,000 startup into a business with over £5,000,000 in sales, thanks in no small part to the incredible eBay platform and community. Today, Jordan, Francis and Chloe have joined the ever-growing Mainspring team.
Mainspring started as a genuine hobby business, and that passion remains at the heart of everything we do. Our focus has always been enjoying what we do while providing customers with good old-fashioned customer service.
We opened our beautiful Farnborough HQ in August 2022 for appointment-only viewings, giving customers a place to meet the team, talk watches, and explore the collection we have in stock.
We always aim to buy what we love and would happily wear ourselves, putting our enthusiasm and relentless passion into every purchase. If we aren't fans and wouldn't wear it, we simply don't buy it!
Shipping
We offer a wide range of options for you to receive your new piece. Below are all the options, please get in touch with any questions.
Collection.
It's always lovely to meet our customers, have a coffee, and talk watches, so why not collect? Collection is available via appointment only at our Farnborough (Hampshire) HQ. We are able to facilitate Monday-Sunday appointments, please get in touch to book.
Delivery.
Watch orders are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery. All other orders are sent Royal Mail Tracked Signed For, with the option for Special Delivery at checkout. Please allow longer arrival times for watches over £1,500 due to the eBay Authenticity Program. If you have any questions about delivery or urgency, let us know, and we will work with you and your timeframes.
International.
We use the eBay Global Shipping Program for any international orders. At checkout, eBay will add on the applicable charges. We don't charge for shipping costs, this is an eBay added cost rather than ours.
Servicing
We are incredibly fortunate to have a wonderful watchmaker, someone who takes great pride in their work. If you have a piece that is in need of a service or some care, below are the options we offer.
Full Service: A full service on a non-complication watch (date only) is £299, taking 1-2 weeks for completion. A watch with a complication (chronograph for example) is £399, taking 1-2 weeks for completion.
Battery Replacement: Quartz battery replacement, including a deep clean of your watch. Costing £99, with a 1-2 week turnaround.
Professional Clean: We can deep clean your watch, bringing that shine back but without the polish. This is a great option ahead of a potential sale. This costs £99 and has a 1 week turnaround time.
Polish and Clean: If you are looking to get rid of marks on your watch, we offer a light polishing and cleaning service. This costs £129 and takes 1-2 weeks to complete.
Rebuild Service: Some watches can sustain serious damage, finding a competent watchmaker to complete can be tricky. Dropped or water damage, we can offer a complete overhaul, bringing your cherished piece back to life. Pricing and time to complete will depend on the task. Get in touch for more details on this.

Please get in touch with the watch you have, along with as much information as you can such as the reference & any photos - We'd love to give you a price.
Selling directly to us.
You'll always get the most value from your watch by selling it privately, however this can take quite some time, and involves answering customer queries and can sometimes be time prohibitive. We buy all luxury watches, just let us know the model, reference number, condition, strap configuration and whether it has box and papers, and we will happily make you an offer. This is the fastest and easiest way to extract value from your watch.
