SCIENTIFICALLY INFORMED DINOSAUR MODEL

PNSO prehistoric animal figures are inspired by fossil discoveries, palaeontology and scientific research.

Chongzuo represents a particularly interesting Asian spinosaurid. Fossil teeth from China were originally assigned to Sinopliosaurus, a genus initially described as a pliosaur.

However, subsequent research identified the Chinese material as belonging to a spinosaurid theropod. This complicated taxonomic history makes Chongzuo an especially interesting model for dinosaur collectors.

The long, narrow jaws and conical teeth reflect the distinctive skull and dental characteristics associated with spinosaurids.

DESIGNED FOR COLLECTORS

Chongzuo forms part of PNSO's extensive range of prehistoric animal models.

The figure is suitable for display alongside other PNSO dinosaurs and prehistoric animals. Its articulated jaw also allows collectors to alter the presentation of the model.
