Antique Victorian Aesthetics Movement Spiral Twist &
Tricorn Base Lamp Table,
circa 1870's.
We
are delighted to offer this rather handsome & quite fabulous
antique Victorian period, English made lamp table, circa 1870. An
Aesthetics movement designed piece with a gorgeous amber gold mahogany
patination. Angle cut ebonized table top edges & ebonized fat bun
feet. Graduated spiral barley twist stem mounted to a mahogany veneered
tricorn base. The ebonized details are just a delightful contrast to the
blonde mahogany wood.
This is a classic piece of Aesthetic
movement furniture & comes direct from a recent grand estate sale
& is sold in superb as found antique condition. Lots of minor age
related surface scuffs & minor wood dinks. All of which adds to its
antique charm & in keeping with its great age. Displays very nicely
indeed, solids is a striking & now quite rare lamp table.
Overall a superb piece of antique furniture that would make a real statement in any home . . . Just fabulous . . .
