The MX112 is one of McIntosh's most sought-after vintage tuner/preamplifiers because it offers much of the performance of the separate C26 preamplifier and MR73 tuner in a single chassis. It pairs especially well with vintage McIntosh power amplifiers such as the MC2505, MC2105, and MC2100. Restored examples with original glass panels and factory cabinets are particularly desirable among collectors.
