Approximate size of the frame: 43cm x36.5cm. Size of painting in the frame : 28cm x 22.5cm. Hanging string to the back. Some wear marks to the frame.

Robert Barbour was born in Glasgow and studied architecture at the Glasgow School of Art. He was an architect and artist specialising in watercolours. He painted the last official painting of the Royal Yacht Britannia. He was a member of the Helensburgh Art Club, Scotland.

The Paddle Steamer Waverley was built in 1946 and was a paddle steamer on the river Clyde, Glasgow. She is the last seagoing paddle steamer and after being restored operates passenger excursions around the British Coast.
