The 70mai S500 is a rear-view mirror dash cam system designed to provide front and rear recording with a full-screen digital rear-view display.

The unit fits over the vehicle's existing rear-view mirror using elastic mounting straps and features an extendable design to accommodate a range of mirror sizes. The front camera records in 3K HDR (2592 × 1944) at 30fps using a Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 image sensor with an F1.8 aperture. The included RC13 rear camera records in Full HD 1080p while providing a live rear-view image on the 9.35-inch full-laminated IPS touchscreen.

Dual-channel HDR, 70mai Night Owl Vision and MaiColor Vivid+ image processing are designed to improve image quality in varying lighting conditions. The S500 also features touchscreen operation, English voice control, buffered emergency recording, multiple display modes and reversing assistance.

Parking surveillance and time-lapse recording are supported when used with the separately available 70mai OBD-II Hardwire Kit. A compatible microSD card is required for video recording.
