This listing is for Mine Were of Trouble (Hardcover, First Edition, UK, 1957) from Peter Kemp.  This book appears to be signed with an inscription from Peter Kemp (See 3rd Photo).  This book is used.  For condition information, please see below.

Condition Details

An unquestionably worn and aged book.  However, all text is clear and readable and all pages are attached.  Please see below for the book’s cosmetic and structural issues.

Dust jacket has a number of chips, with the most significant being to the top of the spine (See 11th Photo).  Dust jacket also has many tears (See 12th Photo for example), creases, surface wear, edge wear, soiling (See 13th Photo for example), and age yellowing.

Boards have bumping, a crease along the spine, surface/edge wear, some wear to the gilt, and some soiling (See 14th/15th Photos for examples).

Spine is slanted.  Binding has loosened quite a bit, but remains secure (See 16th Photo).

Outside of text-block has wear, age yellowing, and some soiling (See 17th Photo for example).

Pages have definite age yellowing and an old book scent that almost certainly has some tobacco odor–please be aware if allergic.

Pages have some stains in places (See 18th-20th Photos for examples - grey and black stains are likely tobacco-related).  Pages also have edge wear, wrinkles to a few pages (See 21st Photo) and one tiny edge tear (See 22nd Photo).  Front free end-paper and title page both have pencil writing in upper corner, with end-paper writing being partially erased (See Last 2 Photos).

So, definitely worn (and in places damaged), but all text is clear and readable.  Please see included photos.
