This small camera used to look inside electronics and other confined areas. When I got it, the USB cable was intermittent — flexing the cable near where it enters the camera would break the connection. I opened the case, removed a few inches of the USB cable, reattached the internal connector, and reassembled the camera. This camera uses the STK1160 USB video‑capture chipset, which is well‑known for stable performance and compatibility with Windows video applications. Unlike the inexpensive generic borescopes that rely on basic UVC drivers, STK1160 devices behave like proper USB capture hardware: they show up in OBS, AMCap, and other DirectShow programs as a standard video source. The chipset provides good color reproduction, reliable LED control, and a very close working distance ideal for electronics inspection, connector examination, and other tight‑space visual tasks.
