Offered is an exceptional antique Austro-Hungarian necklace crafted in richly gilded silver with an elaborate openwork pendant centering a beautiful natural turquoise cabochon surrounded by seed pearls, colorful enamel flowers, and ornate scrolling filigree. Additional turquoise cabochons, seed pearls, and enameled floral links continue throughout the necklace, culminating in a striking pendant with a suspended matching drop.

The workmanship throughout is remarkable, with deeply pierced, multi-dimensional construction and finely detailed repoussé and filigree elements typical of high-quality Continental jewelry from the late 19th to early 20th century. The rich gilt finish has developed an attractive aged patina that beautifully highlights the intricate details and authentic antique character.

The necklace is unmarked, but the metal is guaranteed to be silver. The exact silver fineness has not been tested. The central and accent cabochons are believed to be turquoise, accented by natural seed pearls and colorful enamel decoration.

Measures approximately 20 inches in length with the pendant measuring approximately 2¼ inches long including the lower drop. Total weight is approximately 36.9 grams.

Condition is very good antique condition with age-appropriate wear, minor enamel loss, and natural patina consistent with age. The necklace retains its original tongue clasp and presents beautifully. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description.
