This auction is for a NOS (NEW OLD STOCK) Schwinn Approved chrome plated Model # 55 501, forged steel handlebar stem with a 7/8 inch outside diameter, with NO date code stamped on it.

Schwinn used these forged steel stems from late 1940s through 1965 on their 20, 24, and 26 inch deluxe bicycle models using an Ashtabula fork.  Schwinn did not date code these stems prior to the first quarter of 1966.

Please Note:  This goose neck WILL NOT fit the KRATE models and Schwinn bikes built after the first quarter of 1966.

The package will be packed with plenty of protective materials to insure safe arrival.
