The Bf 109F ("Friedrich") series is widely regarded by Luftwaffe aces and aviation historians alike as the finest-balanced variant of the legendary Messerschmitt fighter. Operating from desert airfields across Libya and Egypt, these aircraft formed the backbone of German fighter operations in support of the Afrika Korps. Aircraft wearing the "Africa Castle" insignia served with units operating in the Mediterranean and North African theaters, where harsh desert conditions tested both pilots and machines during the campaigns against British Commonwealth and Allied forces.
The model is pristine with its original foam and stand, never out of the box, while the box itself has only very slight storage wear, for which please refer to the pictures provided.
