Jesus knew He was to die, He knew He was to be betrayed, and He knew He was to die suffering as a man. As we follow His last day on earth, His divine and human sides are constantly juxtaposed, culminating in the terrible hours when His divinity lay before and behind Him, and He was left alone to endure the agony of the cross as a man, in order to point the way to man's salvation.

In The Day Christ Died, Jim Bishop, has re-created the day with a sense of contemporary drama; he writes in the modern idiom, but always with dignity. In these pages we see Christ as a man, but preserving always the depth of divine mystery. As the book moves from Christ's human life to His life everlasting, it will move the reader to greater understanding, and it may be, to greater faith.

The dust jacket for this book has large portions torn away on the front but it can still wrap around the book. There are some tears on the binding at the front of the book and other general wear. The front and back map plates are in great condition, the pages are strongly bound in the book and flipping through several times I notice no writing on the inside pages.
