HERE’S A VINTAGE 17” x 12” PARADE FLAG FOR

“AMERICAN EX-PRISONERS OF WAR

NONSOLUM ARMIS”

Very nice - but shows age with some stains. The flag is attached to a short 16" wooden pole measuring the width of the flag.  

The national organization of “American Ex-Prisoners of War” (“AXPOW”) represents veterans who were captured or interned by the enemy.  The AXPOW utilizes a specific red sword and scale emblem, often appearing on flags and patches, and featuring the Latin motto "NON SOLUM ARMIS," which translates to "Not by Arms Alone." This phrase highlights the mental and spiritual strength required to survive captivity. The AXPOW is a Congressionally chartered veterans' service organization. The AXPOW emblem (often featured on flags) was designed in 1949 by former POW and National Director Bryan T. Doughty.
