Released on January 2, 2024, this coin marks a significant milestone in modern European history. The reverse features a stunning, vibrant blue -  coloured geographic map of Moldova surrounded by the 12 golden stars of the European Union flag. The background is beautifully textured with European core values inscribed in Romanian (Demnitate Umană, Libertate, Democrație, Egalitate, Statul de Drept, Drepturile Omului). The obverse displays the official Coat of Arms of the Republic of Moldova.
