Up for auction!
New in its original packaging, we have for you model AA36504 from Corgi's World War II Legends series, a 1:72 scale diecast model of the Hawker Typhoon Mk.IB, designation EK273, flown by Squadron Leader Don “Butch” Taylor, Officer Commanding No. 195 Squadron, RAF Ludham, in June 1943, during RAF offensive sweeps and armed reconnaissance operations over occupied France.
The Hawker Typhoon was one of the RAF’s most effective low-level strike aircraft of World War II, initially developed as a fighter before becoming especially well known for its ground-attack role. Corgi’s model captures the Typhoon’s powerful, broad-shouldered airframe, RAF camouflage finish, squadron markings, and historical presentation associated with Taylor’s aircraft.
The model is pristine, never removed from its original packaging, which for its part is in very fine condition, with only minor storage/shelf wear and what appears to be a slight bubble in the plastic from a dust particle during manufacture. Please also refer to the photos provided.
