• An all original Plymouth radiator cap or hood ornament used on 1931 PA and 1932 PB model cars.

• The cap was manufactured by the Jarvis company and has the casting mark ‘983 Jarvis J” on bottom (see last photo).

• The “Little Mermaid on the Waves” design was created by Avard T. Fairbanks while at the University of Michigan.

• Overall, the cap is in very nice condition. It is not bent, broken or repaired. The detail is still sharp. The head and breast regions are nearly blemish-free. The wings are fully intact - not ‘trimmed’.

• The metal is not pitted but the chrome has flaked in some areas (e.g., inside and top of wings, etc.) along with some micro-bubbling ‘sparkles’ especially on the flat surface of the cap.
