Vintage Samsonite Streamlite train case, Style 4612, brown, mid-century modern design. Measures approximately 13"W x 9"H x 7.5"D. Third piece of a matched set from the same original owner as the companion suitcases (estate sale find); personal monogram on the front lock plate (2-letter format).
Includes the original bakelite divided tray (a couple small chips on the side, but sits securely suspended in position) and an intact mirror with no cracks. A few things to note: the lock is frozen/non-functional and there is no key included — replacement keys for this style are readily available online. The vinyl strip connecting the lid to the base at the hinge has come unglued (can be repaired with adhesive or staples). Handle shows some fading/wear, likely from a combination of age, handling, and light exposure over the decades.
Solid, sturdy construction overall — a great display piece, vanity case, or storage solution.
