Here is an set of 2 antique porcelain figurines of recumbent lambs or sheep facing each other. We believe they are a reproduction of the Staffordshire or Chelsea style by Samson in Paris dating only to the late 1800's, not the 1700's. They feature a "confetti" finish (the crushed porcelain or grit applied to simulate wool) and are very light gray to white.

Markings: They each have a gold anchor mark on the bottom which is characteristic of pieces made by manufacturers like Samson in Paris (or other German factories in the late 19th or early 20th century). The gold anchor mark is a reproduction of the original Chelsea mark. There is an extremely faint mark that might say France but I can't be sure.

Style: Victorian-era Staffordshire or Chelsea style, typically featuring a lamb resting on a base with bocage (foliage) in the background.

Excellent antique condition. No chips or crazing. Clean and odor-free. There is one leaf that might have been repaired over the years. It is really hard to tell. Check the last 2 photos to see the leaf tip that might have been glued back on, the finish is slightly different.
