The Demons - Volumes I and II - By Heimito von Doderer, translated from German by Richard and Clara Winston.  Hardcovers in slipcase, 1st Editions / 1st Printings, with "1st American Edition" present to both copyright pages.  Published by Alfred A. Knopf; New York: 1961.  Both Hardcovers are in Very Good plus condition.  Small amount of shelf wear to text blocks and extremities.  Looks like library pockets pasted to each inside front cover, but no other signs anywhere of being ex-library copies.  Books are clean, tight, and sharp.  Dustjackets are in Very Good condition.  Some sunning to covers, small amounts of chipping to edges, a couple of closed tears, and Volume 1 has protective tape around the edges and spine.  Slipcase is in Good condition.  The top is missing and some damage to the bottom, with wear to extremities.
