This is for a stylish Dutch silver case with the original blue sapphire catch and a gold monogram. It dates to the early 1900s and is slightly tapered towards the suspension ring. It was designed to hold a cigarette holder but of course can store any small objects and clipped inside a handbag or purse. The silver has the Dutch sword stamp on the lid and bezel and it is in absolute excellent condition with no damage and the lid fits tight. It measures 55mm just over 2" long by 12mm (0.5") across at the widest part.
