This antique alligator purse was likely purchased in Philadelphia around the 1920s-1940s.

The exterior is made of crocodile/alligator material in brown, and features a braided chain strap (brown ribbon intertwined with gold colored chain).  The bag is lined in soft light brown lambskin-type leather.

One interesting detail is a gold tone coin shaped charm with the side profile of George Washington. Resembles an antique quarter, but it is gold colored.
